Franklin Township Fire was one of a number of area departments merged with the Indianapolis Fire Department in 2010.įranklin itself was formed in 1991 through an amalgamation of the Wanamaker Fire Department, Acton Fire Department and the Bunker Hill Fire Department. The mission of the Franklin Township Civic League shall be to: provide a citizens voice in the short and long-term issues that impact the quality of life. An elected official responsible for administering the township, including such duties as providing township assistance, burial of the indigent, and maintaining.
